Thank God It's A Quesadilla

Rooney has been having so much fun with Grandma and (new best friend) Grandpa. It has been so wonderful to have them here and be so close with Rooney. Even if he does not remember this time with Nana and Pop Pop I know this visit (and hopefully subsequent ones) will have a huge impact on him.

Also developing within the last couple of weeks Rooney is really starting to talk. He has now put words together and using sentences. Everyday he is saying something new and has been saying it with such confidence you would think he has been talking for 2 years. He says everyday now "Here you go", "What's this?", "Sorry" (out of necessity) and most recently "Who's that?" (pointing to Megan).

Lastly, the most exciting thing that happened this week (in terms of all things Rooney)...he ate a quesadilla!

It's all falling into place now.

Go!

Some days it feels like once we (Rooney and I) wake up it's go, go, go. That is to say go, go, go after lounging in bed with my coffee.

Last week Grandma and Grandpa came to visit (they'll be here all of September) and even though the summer is winding down things are starting to wind up again for Roonster. We have Nana and Pop Pop (as I am trying to get Rooney to say) here, indoor playground started today, soccer starts this weekend and we're going to start Toddler Time at our friend Krista's house. Plus, Mom has BabyCrazy parties and Dad has started football again! Wow! I'm tired just thinking about all this.

Here are a few pics just from the last few days:

This is a loving embrace I assure you

My Other Car Is A Little Tikes Coupe

"You Can't See Me!" As I said before, my mom came to visit but I did not get any photographs or anything while she was here. Thankfully my mom is a little more prepared and tooks some pics & video while she was here. The footage is just of Rooney and it is a little grainy (w/no sound) because she took it with her digital camera but what I love is that it shows he already has skills...and you know what Napoleon Dynamite says about skills.
