Feelin' Ducky

Wow the last couple of days have been a whirlwind of firsts again! Well maybe not firsts...new things. If you read the last post about Rooney you know he was sick and he got Rotavirus for the first time (I was told he would get this more than once), last night, around 11pm, Rooney just decided to start clapping. That was exciting! He won't do it on command but I noticed today he did it when he was excited. Today Rooney also got to play at the park for the first time. We went to Newcastle Beach & Park as a Mom's Club activity.

This was a great activity! There was a tremendous turn-out and Rooney got to play in sand for the first time. He seemed to enjoy it quite a bit and thankfully did not try to put any of it in his mouth. We also got to put our hands in the cold water of Lake Washington and had a band of marauding ducks around us (good thing he got the flu booster). That was all very exciting for Rooney, but I really think he enjoyed the swinging on the swings the most. Another first.

I thought when I was sitting in the MD's office, on Friday, for 2 hours, I had made a tooth discovery in Rooney's mouth. I was fooled a couple months ago, so I did not think too much of it. Well today I confirmed that a 3rd tooth is finally starting to make it's grand appearance. Mike still seems dubious so I'll map it on Rooney's Official New Tooth Photo when it has been confirmed by all parties.

You're probably wondering "What is the deal with all these bath photos?". Well, this kid is cute and seems to enjoy his baths.

Tonight we got Rooney a new duck bathtub so he could comfortably take a real bath.

I think he looks pretty comfortable.
