You must have surmised that the snow has melted since I have not posted anything from Christmas or later. Other than one night this week of snow we have been pretty much able to get around town and thus not on our computer. Good for us, bad for Rooney Toons. Mike was off of work most of the last 2 weeks and we tried to spend some of those precious days together but I think overall we got about 1. Anyway on to Christmas...it was good. Unfortunately we did not get tons of great pictures of Rooney opening his gifts. Of course he made out like a bandit and he really seems to enjoy everything he received. However, it was still a little overwhelming or else I think he just felt it just too much work opening all those gifts.
Roon's big gifts from mom and dad were a Vtech Vmotion video game system and a train set. Rooney really seems to like playing his Wall-E and Wonder Pets games although he is still a bit stymied by having to move the whole remote control to get the character is move. He has also had a lot of fun with the train set and since this photo has been taken Mike has
improved upon the existing "train" table. Rooney also received alot of dinosaurs! Thanks Aunt Kristi and Uncle Andy! He loves his dinosaurs. Sometimes he'll sleep with one, or he'll carry all the triceratops around or T-Rex's. If you have babies you also have to have the momma and so he is frequently walking around with a whole family.
We spent alot of time with the Howards and the Hoovers. Unfortunately, due to the snow and ice the other Wades could not make it over but thankfully we eventually were able to catch up with them this weekend. It was great to see Rooney with Dave again. He was so excited when they came over and couldn't wait to show them around (his words). I think Rooney may have become a little frustrated because he wanted to play with Dave so much, but LD is not quite ready to play with Roon they way Roon now plays with his friends. Maybe in a year or so.
Along with the new year came the beginning of hopefully a short process for Mike, Rooney and I. As I posted before we will be going through our first IVF cycle this month (hopefully last). We are tentatively set to have the procedure fully complete at the end of the month. Mid-January we will start the daily shots and frequent ultrasounds. Mike and I are both pretty nervous about the shots. We will be going to a class on how to do them soon but I have already received the meds and box o' needles. On New Year's Eve I received the 1st four of what would become 8 boxes of medication.
I knew there would be a lot but it was still a bit of a shock. This is a pic of just the boxes (1st 4) and of Rooney holding his "edication". He demanded that this ice pack (which was packed with the meds) was his medication and carried it around all night into the next day. I try to let him know what is going on and he knows we go to the the MD to talk about having another baby. Since he's so young we don't get too much into what's going on but he knows that we are trying.
We'll keep you posted...

I heard that Rooney really, really loved his Hot Wheels Race Track.
Now Mike has all the boxes he needs to hold the broken down boxes from Christmas!
Oh yes he does love his Hot Wheels Race Track and informs me everytime we play with it that Felix has one too! You are also right about the boxes. They have already proven themselves useful.
The gingerbread house is spectacular!
That gingerbread house is great, Susie! My mom would be so proud.

I just went back and looked at the baby pictures of Rooney and I hope that you'll be able to post some new baby pictures within the year.
(I think the gingerbread house looks terrific too!)
C'mon!
