And the doggy has a broken leg and Batman is dangling on a string and the doggy can fly... It's another beautiful day in the PNW and it was essential to get the kids out for a little sunshine. This afternoon I had April for a couple of hours while Vala worked on their new house. April is Roon's new main squeeze since we haven't seen much of Kaibre lately. The current proximity of April's house to our house doesn't hurt either. These two play great together. Rooney will pretty much play whatever game anyone wants to play and this is works well for their relationship because April is a pretty good director. The role playing they do can get pretty funny. It always contains someone being a doggy (generally April) and it seems the doggy always needs to be saved or it is sleeping. I'm not sure how much fun play sleeping can be but they have spent hours "playing" it before.
It's hard to believe that winter is just ending. Since January we have already had several park playdates and Rooney is getting to start riding the bike he got for Christmas. We intentionally got his bike a little big to allow for growth. We thought he would not be able to ride it for several months. It is working out fine but he does have to go on his tippy toes to stand over the frame. He's still a little nervous riding it but I've been explaining to him that he needs to learn how to fall because he'll most likely be doing alot of it. At least he has safety gear. I remember my bike didn't have brakes on the pedals so I had to jump off and ditch the bike or stop it Fred Flinstone-style. Tuck and roll my parents would shout.
Tuck and roll!

He seems to do well even with crazy drivers passing on the right!
Hey Susie....I remember learning to ride on Ostrom. We didn't have ANY safety gear. I remember the way I stopped once was to crash into the side of your moms car so I didn't fly out into the street. I bet she never new that, just wondered where the dent came from. :-) Keep up the good posts
Love Lisa
Sorry for that whipping Susan!
