Where's The Sister?

Today was a big day. We had our 2nd ultrasound this morning. With this ultrasound we got to not only see the baby's heartbeat but we also got to confirm there is only one baby in there. The baby's heartbeat was so cute. It was a minuscule flutter of light. It took me a little while to see it but it was so cool when I finally did.

We've been telling Rooney (before the 2nd ultrasound) that we're pretty sure there was only 1 baby. He thinks the baby is a boy and has mentioned his brother. Then he will often ask "What happened to my sister?". It is so sweet and sad. I've just been telling him that she had to go home.

Here's the latest picture. The baby is on the top between the crosses. I'm not sure if you'll be able to tell without holding the ultrasounds side by side but the baby and the sac are considerably bigger now. Of course, I didn't need the picture to tell me that since my pants are already getting tighter.

It's no longer a walnut, but now a little peanut!

Gulp! Don't tell him she went home, he'll think he has a sister who lives somewhere else. '

I'm so happy for you. And maybe it is a sister!
