So Many Blog Posts So Little Time

Every time something happens that I think will make a great blog post something else happens. I suppose that is what happens when you post maybe once a week. The hold up is always pictures. I need to reorganize. Anyway, the first great blog post was going to be about Rooney going from 3-13 years old this last week or so. I think I mentioned before how he was becoming so much more independent but after last week I realize he is conflicted. He's a little boy becoming a big boy with using the toilet, sleeping in a regular bed, school and being able to walk in stores instead of riding in the cart but he's also still a little boy. Mom and Dad still tell him "No" all the time, we expect him to do what we tell him when we tell him and even though he's walking in stores he has to hold our hands. All this had really built up for Roon I think. He has become moody and very argumentative which eventually grew and became of full out tantrum in his Alphabet Soup class last Monday. He has had so few tantrums, especially of this magnitude which included hitting, kicking and hair pulling, that I was really taken off guard. After a very long time out that let us both think about his behavior things have been much better since.

Another great blog post I thought would be the Eulogy of Cheesie. While we were all very sad that Cheesie seemed to be lost, Rooney seemed pretty OK without him. The last couple of night he went to bed just fine without him but I did hear him playing in the morning saying he was going to "Save Cheesie". Even if Rooney didn't need him anymore, the fact that he was lost was driving me crazy, and I wanted to find him. Thankfully last night Mike found Cheeseball. He was in our house all along (sorry Dana but I ransacked your house looking for him) stuffed in the TV cabinet. Last night and this morning Rooney has been happily playing with Cheese and what I thought would be another great blog post...imaginary Charlie.

Charlie is a real little boy. You may have seen him mentioned in this blog and Felix's blog before. Charlie's mom is a friend of mine who also became a friend of Renae's. Charlie's mom watches Felix a couple days a week, so Felix and Charlie became great buds. Rooney loves Felix and soon became great buds with Charlie as well. Now all 3 boys play really well together and you can often hear them all transforming into their favorite Transformers (I believe Charlie started the craze). Rooney has played with imaginary Felix and Kaibre before but Charlie is new and honestly they seem to be having the most fun together. As a matter of fact, Charlie is sitting on the bed with us watching Transformers while I write this post. Charlie, Cheesie and Roon saved many lives last night and this morning and even came up with a crossover idea sure to make millions...Power Rangers and Transformers battle evil together.

I think in more detail these would have all been great posts in their own right. A video clip of Rooney's tantrum or Cheesie and Rooney doing Power Ranger moves or even a picture of Dana's house after I ransacked it would have really been the icing on the cake and so those posts go unwritten. I'm hoping next time I will be able to capture the magic.

Better patent your crossover idea too!

I'm so glad Cheesie turned up. Even if Rooney decides to give him up better that he's not lost!

Wow, I was going to do a post about Cheesie, too! It was going to be an APB for him, featuring quotes from his Mom (Momma Cheesie) and long-time companion, Baby Doggy.

This would have been followed up by another post when he was eventually found (I always had faith) featuring agonizing tales of eating crickets and drinking rainwater to survive. And maybe fighting off dust bunnies armed with nothing but some carpet fuzz and his wits.

I was almost sorry when I found him.
