Now to the statistics...(Drum roll)...Rooney's latest measurements have him measuring in at 28-1/2" and 16.5lbs (ta-da). His height still >95%. He's actually grown so tall that he is 1/2" shy of being too big for his infant carrier. The next one we're getting goes up to 49". He should be in it until he's @ least 1 yr old (I hope). Since Rooney is starting to get teeth, and since I've seen him eyeball my food, I decided to ask the MD if we should start him on rice. As you could have guessed from the attached picture the answer was yes. It was an emphatic yes. Dr. Morse said that with Rooney being so big he can't be satisfied. I tried spoon feeding him at first. He took a few bites but didn't seem to care much for the experience (it was recommended to feed him w/a spoon by the MD vs. through a bottle due to choking hazards). I decided to try today, through the bottle & Rooney ate swimmingly. Once he's able to sit up solidly we will probably try to spoon feed him again. He'll probably be starting baby food then anyway.
Lastly, Rooney & I started another Mom's group today. This one is held at the hospital where Rooney was born & it is specifically for babies 0-6mo. It was great to see so many babies and see Mom's from prenatal water aerobics & other Mom/baby groups we've attended. Interestingly enough, the nurse that runs this playgroup, seemed to remember Rooney from when he was born. (I knew he'd be unforgettable).

Did the nurse remember him as his alter-ego, Rodney?
Susan, I just pulled out Mike's baby health and immunization record and thought I'd pass along a few statistics....
At four and a half months Mike weighed 15 pounds and 15 ounces. He was 26.25 inches tall...
So Rooney is a good 2 inches taller than Mike was at that age. Looks like you may have a basketball player on your hands.
Rooney's grandma Wade. (aka Liz)
Yes, to the receptionist I think he will always be Rodney.
Liz, thanks alot for the info. Mike & I found it pretty interesting. Any statistics you have would be great. Ooo same for you Mom.
