Getting Straight A's

Being as this will be the new babies blog too I cannot believe I forgot to post our latest ultrasound picture. I had to go in last Friday for what was essentially an ultrasound to look for any signs of Downs Syndrome. When you get to a certain age (which I am at now) you are considered a higher risk. I don't feel like I am of a certain age but years are going by like dog years anyway.

The good news is that the ultrasound looked great and there did not appear to be anything to worry about. The more good news is that I will have to have another ultrasound at 16 weeks. At that ultrasound they should be able to tell us the gender!

The last ultrasound was really cool because we got to see the baby swimming all around. It was a squirmy little thing but we got to see it fully formed, little legs kicking around and I think it was even sucking it's thumb. It was really amazing. The ultrasound pictures are not as clear as the images were while we were watching but you can see now that the baby is fully formed and of course measuring a little tall already.
